Improved Google Search For Mobile Folks in the US running Google’s Android, Palm’s webOS or Apple’s iPhoneOS will be happy to hear that Google has added Search Options to its Web Search Mobile, allowing users to search for finer details, such as filtering by “Forums” or choosing a time such as “Past week”. Surprisingly, this additional option isn’t available for Symbian and Windows Mobile users, so it remains to be seen as to when Google will decide to provide support for those operating systems. Barnes & Noble Executive Confirms E-Reader Details Although the author isn't explicitly mentioned, this interview appears to have been conducted by Jennifer Van Grove, an associate editor for Mashable, who indicated in the comments attached to this video on YouTube that, as suspected, Barnes & Noble plans to launch a color e-reader with Plastic Logic next spring. It will "run the B&N application," according to Daniel Jorrison, an executive with Fictionwise, which was acquired by B&N in March. Separately, The New York Times Bits blog reports that there's an invitation to a Barnes & Noble Oct. 20 event in New York City, in addition to the earlier Wall Street Journal report. Keep in mind that the stage for this was set quite a while back. In February, Plastic Logic announced its content partners, including Fictionwise, which signed up to supply e-books. B&N then acquired Fictionwise, which meant that, well, Barnes & Noble had its e-reader.

Sinclair Sovereign These may look like Bang & Olufsen TV remote controls from the 1980s but they're actually Sinclair Sovereign LED calculators from 1977. Sadly, the Sovereign was a market failure due in part to the nearly simultaneous domination of the category by its technology successor, the LCD calculator. From Planet Sinclair: Named patriotically for the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977, the Sinclair Sovereign was an attempt to break out of the bottom end of the calculator market and recapture the top end. It was one of the better-engineed Sinclair calculators and was very well-designed - so much so, in fact, that Sinclair designer John Pemberton won a Design Council Award for it. It was available in a satin chrome finish or plated in silver or gold. A few limited edition silver Sovereigns inscribed to commemorate the Silver Jubilee were also produced. Car Cam Voyager Records as you Drive Car Cam Voyager is a system that sits under the visor of your car and records whats happening while your on the road. If you are unfortunate enough to have a bump or scrape you’ll now have evidence to present to the insurers to prove you weren’t at fault. The device is powered by the lighter socket on your car and includes a screen with a 720 x 480 resolution so you can see what is being recorded. Up to 48 hours of driving footage is stored on the 32GB SD card. Footage is stored in 15 minute increments to help you quickly reach the section of video you are wanting to find. When the 32GB SD card is filled up the system simply overwrites the oldest video data captured on the card, thus constantly capturing video data.
