Pentax K-x Robo Edition Launching
The Pentax K-x is a new camera that was announced just a month ago. The announcement said that it comes in the usual black colour along with white and red options being available. Now we hear that a new version has been launched in a Kore Ja Nai Robo toy set of colours.
The colourful model of camera resembles the toy robot that was first introduced in Japan back in 2001 and aims to be more of a fun entry level digital SLR camera. Other than the fancy colour casing there are no other differences on this camera.
The special edition robo Pentax K-x will cost $880 when launched and only 100 units will be made with pre-orders beginning early next month in November. As of now it seems that all 100 units will be staying in Japan unless you can find some way of getting your hands on one of them through someone else if you want to take part in the mad array of colour.

Vulcan 2GB Flash Drive
If your a Trekkie or Vulcan for that matter, then this ‘Live long and prosper’ hand gesture 2GB USB flash drive is definitely something you should check out.
“Live long and prosper.” This phrase, widely recognized beyond sci-fi circles, is accompanied by a hand gesture made by raising the hand palm forward, parting the fingers between the ring and middle finger and extending the thumb. This gesture is known as the Vulcan salute.
What is less known is that the salute is based on a priestly blessing in the Jewish tradition. Even the phrase has Middle Eastern origins. The common greetings Shalom aleichem in Hebrew and Salaam alaykum in Arabic respectively mean “peace be upon you” and “upon you be peace”.

Free Your Hands
I appreciate little low- or no-tech reading gadgets, especially the ones that are so simple I wish I'd thought of them and/or that last a long time. For a couple of years now I've happily used Gimbles, a clever little invention from the UK that allows you to hold a book open to read without using your hands. I think I bought my original pair during one of the LB&LI workshops, maybe in 2007 or 2008. They're still in perfect shape and haven't cracked, split or warped. They are especially wonderful because unlike some other book holders, the shape of the Gimble prevents the book's spine from being damaged, and also allows you to stand the book up on end. Obviously I don't have to point out the advantages for people who have difficult holding books open; they do it for us.The pair that are sold here in the U.S. come in two different sizes; one for standard paperbacks and one for larger trade paperbacks and softcovers. I've seen them for sale in B&N stores and also I think at BAM; the
