Motorized chair causes accident
Can you believe it - 62 year old Dennis LeRoy of Proctor, Minnesota, actually took his motorized easy chair out for a spin when inebriated, and has since pled guilty to driving his tricked-out, motorized easy chair while under the influence (8 beers in total). LeRoy somehow must have suffered from a bad case of 'beer vision by smashing his chair (and himself, presumably) into a parked car. Good thing it is powered by a lawnmower engine, as that won't really move too fast considering the weight it has to ferry around.

GenMobile Portable Genesis Officially Licensed by Sega
GenMobile is a portable Sega Genesis that allows you to play your old Genesis/Megadrive games while on the move. It’s similar to the Nomad that came out years ago although it has been shrunk down thanks to advances in technology.
Sega have also officially licensed the GenMobile too. The handheld games system comes pre-installed with 20 games such as Sonic Spinball, Kid Chameleon, Golden Axe and Ecco Jr to name a few.
If you happen to have a few of the older games still lying around your home then the system can accept both Japanese and US games (possibly UK games too as the carts are almost identical to US ones). The screen on the games system measures 2.5 inches and is a TFT screen. An AV out is also included on the device allowing it to connect up to a TV to play on a larger screen if needed.
The GenMobile costs $54.99 including the built-in 20 games which isn’t a bad price at all. It will be launched in the next few weeks and is available from StoneAgeGamer.

Internet sucks more energy and raises costs too
Though I work on internet and harp but green living, I am clueless about the current total global energy consumption of the internet. How ignorant of me! But the latest study revealed by US Infrastructure has enlightened me with related facts and figures. And since internet is a part of our everyday living, its energy consumption is also under...

SolarCharger906 optimizes solar energy to power gadgets
Not really a new invention, but the SolarCharger906 is a portable device that lets users charge their mobile phones or ipods from the suns solar energy. But this particular device is a little different from the other solar chargers when it comes to the size. This device is a small, compact one, being as small as a deck of cards that would easily slip into the cars glove box or a purse. The charger on the outside is made...

Water Purification with exercise by Jakub Szczesny
Now make your exercises benefit more than just you and your health. Jakub Szczesny has designed a floating island on a river where visitors can purify the river water through exercising. It basically is a water treatment plant powered by human muscles where the people perform various fitness exercises and thereby pump polluted river water via kinetic pumps integrated in the fitness machines to the four filters and tanks at the end of the mechanism. What I absolutely love...

Solar Powered jacket from Zegna
Learning from others mistakes is common, but finding faults in one?s own design is quite difficult to admit. Italian high end fashion brand Ermenegildo Zegna has done just that when it launched its second version of a solar jacket- Ecotech Solar Jacket, as a part of the Zegna Sport collection. Zegna is credited to have designed the first ever solar jacket almost 2 years back with removable solar panels on the collar. An interesting idea it is, but personally,...
