Northrop Grumman, EADS, Awarded $40B Tanker Contract From Air Force
Northrop Grumman Corp. and European Aeronautic Defence & Space Co. have been awarded the Air Force's $40-billion contract for aerial refueling tankers, according to a media report late Friday.
Under the contract, the Northrop-led team will build up to 179 tankers based on the Airbus A330 jetliner, the Wall Street Journal reported on its Web site, citing a person familiar with the matter....
