Adding API to RSS-Spider

Filed under: What Not... — Dave at 9:07 am on Tuesday, June 30, 2009

Over the past year, one of the things I get emailed about constantly is support for an API. People want to be able to add in RSS-Feeds without having to come to the site and sign in every time. So hold on… API support is coming soon. You’ll be able to generate an API key for use with our system and then build apps & other cool tools to add RSS feeds, RSS channels to our database PLUS with little api programming pull activity reports.

Right now the API is in closed beta. I’ll be opening it up in Q3 some time so stay tuned.

11 PM Friday night… Working on a project tonight in the Windows version of MySql terminal, baby sound asleep in the next room, I’ve got my speakers turned way down and am listening to Drone Zone on Somafm.com when I copy & paste a rather large sql update query into my dos MySql window.

*BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* *BEEP* plus its WAY LOUDER than I have my actual volume set at! What the HELL! *BEEP* *BEEP* and on and on and on and I couldn’t close the window. Then the baby’s up and crying bloody murder!

Baby back to sleep at 1am.
